My Release Is Meaningless Until Every Political Prisoner Is Freed- FFK 


Former Minister of Aviation and representative for the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organization, Fani-Kayode, who was discharged Friday night, has said his discharge from Government's care 67 days after his confinement is trivial until each political detainee is liberated. He said the instance of Dasuki and Omisore, saying they should be liberated too so they can protect themselves.

"It was a significant trial. It was a trial. Yet, I express gratitude toward God that I am free and that I have been given a chance to safeguard myself in court when the case begins – I am anticipating that. Outside of that, in all actuality the length of other people who are likewise political detainees and have been erroneously denounced are still in (security offices') guardianship our nation, then I trust that my opportunity is insignificant.

"In this way, until each and every political detainee or each and every individual erroneously blamed by the state, by the legislature and the EFCC has been discharged; has been given the chance to guard himself in court; and until that happens, I don't consider any us is free. Regardless we have individuals like Sambo Dasuki, Iyiola Omisore and numerous others in jail or EFCC's care," he told Sunday Punch.
