Boko Haram: Maiduguri alone has 51,000 dowagers and 49,000 vagrants in 17 IDP camps-Governor Shettima

Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima expressed this on Wednesday when he got a powerful appointment of the European Union to Nigeria and ECOWAS in his office.

The assignment which incorporates Michel Arrion, Ambassador, leader of EU's designation to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Brian O'Neill, Minister-Counselor, head of Cooperation, EU appointment to Nigeria and ECOWAS and Fatima Kyari Mohammed, EU's Adviser held a few indispensable discourses finally extending from wellbeing, training, recreation, resettlement, horticulture, IDP camps, sustaining and host of others.

The Governor said the greater part of the casualties of Boko haram uprising are ladies and kids.

"Sixty to seventy percent of kids in the IDP camps are vagrants. In Maiduguri alone, we have 51,000 dowagers and around 49,000 vagrants in the 17 IDP camps and just God know the number of inhabitants in widows and vagrants in Borno state as an aftereffect of this revolt in light of the fact that simply a week ago we got around 25,000 IDPs in Ngala who were safeguarded from some recently freed territories " Shettima clarified.

For people group that are returning, we would urge them to frame cooperatives, we will give those ladies some of these dairy animals so that the milk in the bovines would be use in our school nourishing system" Shettima further clarified.
